A Few Reasons Why the New 2024 Mazda CX-90 is a Hit with Families
December 12 2023,
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is the newest product to join the brand’s family of dynamic and practical SUVs, but it has already become a favourite of many families. Here are some of the reasons for this.
The most spacious Mazda model
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is the largest and most spacious Mazda model of the last several years, with the capability to haul up to 8 passengers in some configurations as well as an impressive quantity of luggage and cargo. This generous interior space means that long family trips are more enjoyable for everyone on board and easier to plan for since you can simply throw anything you might need in the back, without having to worry whether it will fit. The CX-90’s large rear doors have also been engineered with families in mind since they swing open to a 90-degree angle in order to facilitate the installation of child seats and make buckling up younger members of your household easier.
Safety and convenience features to please everyone
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is available with a long list of desirable features that make it one of the safest and most comfortable places to be out on the road. For example, the CX-90 can be ordered with heated and ventilated front and rear seats that ensure your passengers are just as comfortable as you are all year long Connectivity is also paramount, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included as standard, and their wireless versions being available on higher trim levels. In addition, the CX-90 comes standard with i-Activsense driver assistance features such as forward collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, front and rear cross-traffic alert, as well as blind spot monitoring, among many other features that have earned it the Top Safety Pick+ award.
Two impressive electrified powertrains
The 2024 Mazda CX-90 is available with two highly advanced electrified powertrains that were introduced to the Mazda lineup by this new model a few months ago. Standard is a 3.3L turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine that features a mild-hybrid setup that helps it achieve an output of 280 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque along with an average highway fuel consumption figure of 8,4 L/100 km. Higher trim levels use a more powerful of the same engine which generates 340 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. The second available powertrain in the CX-90 is another first for Mazda: a plug-in hybrid system. Based on the 2.5L Skyactiv four-cylinder engine, this system uses a 17,8 kWh battery and an electric motor to provide 323 horsepower, 369 lb-ft of torque, and an all-electric range of 42 kilometres.
