Mazda announced a full lineup of new sport utility vehicles including plug-in hybrid models

Mazda made a major announcement this week, confirming that it will bring to the Canadian market three new sport utility vehicles in the next 14 months starting with the brand-new Mazda CX-50 that will be unveiled next month.
The Mazda CX-50 will slot near the redesigned 2022 Mazda CX-5 in the Mazda lineup, although it is based on the Mazda CX-30. It will feature enhanced all-wheel drive capability, offering better off-road performance and it will have the space and versatility active buyers and young families are looking for.
The Mazda CX-50 will go into production as early as next January, and should be on Canadian roads this spring.
The new Mazda CX-90 and Mazda CX-70
The new Mazda CX-90 is a three-row midsize SUVs that will be built on a new longitudinal vehicle architecture. It will feature a range of brand-new engines including a turbocharged straight-six powertrain as well as an available plug-in hybrid engine.
The Mazda CX-70 will be based on the Mazda CX-90, offering the same performance and interior space, but with just two rows. It will also feature the new turbo engine as well as the plug-in hybrid.
Mazda is pushing forward with electrification as well, promising new electric vehicles starting in 2025 and confirming its mission to offer electrified powertrains in all of its models by 2030.
