Mazda Canada has now released the pricing and features of the all-new 2025 CX-70, a mid-size two-row crossover that is derived from the recent CX-90. The CX-70 aims to cater to an active and engaged customer base with its sporty design, spacious interior, and electrified powertrains. To meet diverse needs, Mazda is offering six trim levels for the CX-70.
Advanced powertrains
Under the hood, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 boasts three electrified powertrain options. The e-Skyactiv G 3.3L Inline 6 Turbo with 48-volt M-Hybrid Boost comes in two variants, and there's also an e-Skyactiv PHEV. These engines generate the same outputs as in the 2024 CX-90. All powertrains are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard i-Activ all-wheel drive. The Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system provides various modes like Normal, Sport, Off-Road, and Towing, which increases the vehicle’s towing capacity up to 5,000 pounds with the proper equipment. The CX-70 PHEV also includes an EV mode that allows for pure electric driving in some circumstances.
New technologies
Designed for active lifestyles, the CX-70 incorporates practical features such as remote-folding rear seats, an optimized rear cargo area with additional storage compartments, and hooks for bags. The integration of Alexa on certain models enables hands-free commands for various functions, enhancing convenience and reducing driver distraction. New safety features include Private eCall and Stolen Vehicle Assistance, providing emergency support and aiding in vehicle recovery.
