Three Technologies that Make Winter Life Easier in the Mazda CX-30
October 12 2022,
The Mazda CX-30 is a compact SUV that is well equipped to face the harshest of Canadian winters due to its standard Remote Start, Heated seats and i-Activ AWD.
The My Mazda App with remote start
The Mazda CX-30 comes standard with a 24-month free trial period for the Mazda Connected Services, which include the remote start capability. This means that drivers can start the engine of the CX-30 via their cellphone in order to pre-heat the interior before they even have to exit the comfort of their home. When this feature is used, the engine runs for 10 minutes or until a door is opened and the climate control system brings the interior to the temperature that was selected when the engine was last turned off.
The heated seats and steering wheel
The Mazda CX-30 comes standard with heated front seats, which offer three temperature settings in order to keep both front passengers as comfortable as possible, no matter the outside weather. In addition, the CX-30 GS adds a heated steering wheel in order to make sure the driver’s hands are kept warm even if they don’t like to wear gloves when driving.
The i-Activ all-wheel drive system
The i-Activ all-wheel drive system is standard in every version of the Mazda CX-30 sold in Canada. This means that any CX-30 is as competent on dry pavement as it is on snow and ice. By sending power to the wheels that have the best traction, this system ensures that the CX-30 is able to drive in conditions where two-wheel drive vehicles would struggle to keep moving, such as when the road is very slippery or when it is covered with deep snow. In addition, the torque vectoring feature of this system allows it to transfer power to either side smoothly and rapidly, which is key in offering a high level of stability even on icy curves.
